Fenwick Street English

Courses and Levels

Four levels, ten-week terms

Every course runs as a self-contained ten-week term, so you can join at the start of any term once you're placed at the right level. Groups are capped at eight throughout, whether you study in person or online.

Elementary

A2 level

Building everyday communication and basic workplace English. You'll handle introductions, simple work routines, and everyday written tasks.

Intermediate

B1 level

Handling routine work correspondence and meetings. You can manage most day-to-day professional interactions with growing confidence.

Upper Intermediate

B2 level

Managing presentations, negotiation language and more complex writing. You can express opinions, handle difficult conversations, and produce professional documents.

Advanced

C1 level

Refining precision, tone and formal register for senior professional and academic contexts. You focus on nuance, style and the language that carries real weight in high-stakes situations.

Speaking and office-ready writing

Most class time goes on structured speaking practice — discussion, roleplay of real workplace situations, and presentations — so you leave able to actually speak in meetings. We pair this with writing tasks modelled on real office documents: emails, reports, minutes and proposals. Work produced in our classes would hold up if you sent it at work.

This is not conversation practice dressed up as professional development. It is English that matters for the job and the qualification.

In person and online

Every level is taught both in the physical classroom and as a live online group. Same size, same syllabus, same teacher quality. You choose your format when you book.

Intensive Summer Course

Running through July and August, our summer intensive condenses a term's progress into a shorter period with more weekly contact hours. It's for students who want faster results or need to be ready for a new job or course of study by autumn.

Capped at eight and offered both in person and online. Dates are on the Timetable page.

Finding your level

New students take a short placement check before joining a group, so you land in the right one of the four levels. This is arranged through the Contact page — get in touch and we'll set it up.
